Mi3 Venture Partners was founded in 1999 to invest in biomedical engineering applications.
Our interests encompass biologics, materials, processes, implants, devices and informatics
designed for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Examples include: bioinformatics,
biosensors and bioinstrumentation, imaging agents and the molecular probes, medical devices and
implants, optical imaging and spectroscopy, surgical technology, image guided therapies and
interventions, and drug and gene delivery. Typically we invest in companies in the first venture capital round. However, we only invest in companies that can leverage moderate amounts of investment capital into breakthrough technologies addressing major medical needs. |
We bring a team-oriented approach to venture capital, with each of our partners involved
at some stage of each of our investments. We work closely with portfolio company management
on syndicate formation, strategy, business development, recruiting, and financing. Our extended network of advisors and consultants help us provide our companies access to some of the best managerial, technology and clinical resources in the world. Our team is based near Boston, MA. |
